Wait, What?
Imagine you were renting an apartment and were told after moving in that you weren’t allowed to cook in your own kitchen. How is this person supposed to eat? We suppose the landlord expects this renter to only live on cereal, cold sandwiches, and takeout. How would the landlord feel if the tables were turned?
If this was a firm rule, the landlord should have specified it before any renter moved in. However, this seems more of a personal preference than a genuine safety issue. If the only problem is that cooking sets off the alarm, there must be a way to work around it. That’s an annoyance, for sure, but so is not being able to eat a home-cooked meal.
