Where’s My Invitation?
It must be a drag having your landlord live nearby. They can see all your comings and goings, who you have over, and how many people you have over. Typically a landlord can’t tell you you aren’t allowed to have guests, nor can they limit how many you can have.

It’s understandable that a landlord might get nervous at the idea of a renter throwing a party in their place. After all, large gatherings of people might quickly turn rowdy, which could lead to something in the house getting broken. Still, that’s one of the perils of renting. So asking your tenant if they’re having a party is out of bounds.
