Cringe-Worthy Text Message Exchanges Between People and Their Landlords

This landlord set their rent at a very odd price, adding 46 cents to the amount. One has to wonder why they tacked on an odd amount of change to the rent. Frankly, this feels like a bit of a power move to us. It’s almost as if they did this anticipating they would need to confront their renter.

At least the landlord was polite in their message, requesting the exact amount. It’s easy to overlook the 46 cents on this rent; most rent amounts are an even number. We wonder if this change is absolutely needed. After all, it only adds up to a total of $5.52 per year. We doubt that will break this landlord.
