Rounding Up
In many countries, tipping is customary. It’s borderline required if you’re dining out or receive help from any service provider. But tipping too low, even though it’s technically a tip, can be considered rude. For instance, paying a 1¢ tip for a $16.89 bill.

We’re not familiar with every tipping “law” in every country, but in the UK, you’re expected to tip 15 to 20%. In Australia, 10% is enough to make your waiter more than happy. What isn’t considered a tip anywhere on the planet is a single cent. Thanks for digging deep, restaurant diner, we hope that 1¢ didn’t jeopardize your child’s education.
