Guys, I have bad news for you: people lie on the Internet. I know! It’s unbelievable, right? When faced with an environment that allows them to say anything with absolutely no way for their readers to check whether it’s true, some people give in to the temptation to lie to win an argument, get attention, or gain sympathy points. I’m being sarcastic, but I think there are a lot of people out there who think they can write anything on the Internet and people will just believe them. Even worse, there are a lot of people who will believe them. Want proof? We have gathered stories from around the Internet that the writers claim are completely true but are either provably false or are so ridiculous that anyone with two brain cells would see straight through them. Without further ado, here are different stories from the Internet that are just comically not true.

#1: I Am Spartacus
Do you ever sit around and daydream about things that would be really cool if they happened? Like maybe you think about a famous scene from a famous movie, and you think how cool it would be if you were hanging out at a coffee shop, waiting for your order, and then you started acting out that scene and everyone else in the coffee shop joined in?

That’s an entertaining sort of daydream to have. But it’s really important that you not cross the line into thinking that it actually happened in your real life. And probably don’t try to convince the Internet that it actually happened. Because unless the coffee shop happens to be full of Kirk Douglas mega-fans, I just don’t think people are going to do this.
