#20: But Why?
I have to say, I’m pretty disappointed in the next post. Normally these creative writing exercises that people post on Twitter and try to pass off as truth have a better narrative structure. You know, maybe we have an intro, then some kind of conflict, and then they end with a really strong punch line or a moral.
This one has a very anticlimactic ending: just a sad Ukrainian wailing, “But why do they strike?” If you want to get full marks on your creative writing assignment, it should end with a young child saying something wise or the writer reflecting on how what happened really changed their lives. Also, could this young person not take the bus or get a job closer to home?
