#5: Then Everyone Clapped
If this had really happened, it would be pretty amusing. Don’t we all wish that we had that perfect comeback ready when somebody says something rude or outlandish to us? Don’t we wish we could put angry people in their place? Don’t we wish we could do so in public so that we could get a nice round of applause for our efforts?
These are all lovely ideas, but I highly doubt that’s what actually happened here. For one thing, Tesco is a British store, and if I know one thing about the British, it’s that they tend not to like to cause a scene in public. For another, very few real-life stories end with everyone laughing and clapping and in hysterics and getting your shopping for free. Life, unfortunately, is not a movie.
