Telling porkies
Pinocchio was one of the very earliest Disney films, giving us such classic and enduring characters as the Blue Fairy, Jiminy Crickett, and of course, the wooden boy himself. With the serious handicap of his nose growing each time he told a lie, getting away with anything eas almost impossible.
This is probably why the animators decided to include him in a particular scene in Aladdin. During one of the genie and Aladdin’s conversations about wooing Jasmine, Aladdin accuses the Genie of lying. Denying this, the Genie turns his head into Pinocchio, who looks very shocked, and his nose grows.
