The Lion King was released in 1994 and broke records. It became the highest-grossing animated film of all time, holding this position until 2003 when Finding Nemo came out. So we all know how popular the characters in that movie have become. Especially the movie villain, Scar.

What is surprising is that Scar was originally supposed to be more muscular and pronounced than he appears in the movie. When Jeremy Irons came on board the production crew changed Scar’s appearance to look more like Jeremy’s. They even went as far as studying his previous movies to learn his facial expressions and gestures.
