Snow White – Marge Champion
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, released in 1937 was Disney’s first-ever animated film. This means the film’s protagonist Snow White has gone down in history as the first-ever Disney princess. The role was given to well-known dancer Marge Champion who was only 14 years old at the time.
The film creators were looking for a girl that would act out scenes that would help them make the animation more realistic. They needed someone with elegance, class, and decorum, they believed Marge, having come from a prestigious, upper-class class family would provide that.
