Just because you’re snorkeling near a shore and in shallow water doesn’t mean you’re safe from marine predators. This person, who’s a certified diver but decided to go snorkeling one day, learned this lesson when swimming into an underwater cove and spotting a barracuda not too far off.
This person, however, didn’t use the sit-still-and-shut-up approach. Instead, they did a 180-degree turn and pumped their legs until they were as far away from the barracuda as possible. So, if you’re looking for motivation to swim harder, faster, and longer, just imagine that you’re being chased by a school of barracudas.
