Science Can Be Freaky
Lydia Fairchild was a single mother with two children and a third on the way. Needless to say, she often struggled financially. She had to prove through a DNA test that her children were biologically hers when she applied for government funding. Simple enough. She knew she had nothing to hide!
However, the DNA test confirmed that she was the aunt of her two children. It didn’t make any sense, especially when the newborn’s DNA test had the same results. Fairchild was a chimera, meaning she has two totally sets of DNA inside her body. The DNA of the fraternal twin whom Fairchild absorbed while in the womb was showing up on the tests.
