Knew it All Along
Walter McFarlane’s parents passed when he was a baby and he was raised by his grandmother. It hurt her too much to talk about the terrible accident, so he never knew much about his biological parents. He was also an only child, but he considered his best friend Alan Robinson, who grew up down the street from him, like a brother.
McFarlane waited until he was 74 years old to learn more about his biological parents through an AcenstryDNA test. Not only did he receive ample information about his roots, but he also discovered that Robinson, who had been adopted, was in fact, his half-brother the whole time and, as we know, they already had a brotherly relationship.
