What Those Good Rising Barks Mean
As is the case for most dogs their woof is going to be more menacing than their bite. But if you’re attuned to that woof and you detect an inflection in the dog’s voice at the end chances are they’re in a pretty playful mood! This is called a rising bark and dogs use it when they want to frolic or are having a great time. If you hear two dogs barking at each other they’ll probably be using these types of sounds!
Humans can also mimic this ascending bark to stimulate some dogs and initiate them into play mode! But if you desire your canine to relax make sure to teach them the proper commands for when to reduce it.
