Chew Your Way to Another Store
We often don’t bother to compare prices for products sold at supermarkets and dollar stores, because we assume everything sold at the latte comes at a cheaper price, and it usually does. But for some impulse products, like gum, you should really pay more attention to how much you’re actually getting for what you’re paying.
At many supermarkets, you will find a package of 20 of a 14-stick pack of gum for about $11.50. When you do the math, you’ll find that each stick of gum is actually much cheaper at a supermarket than the $1.00 four-pack sold at dollar stores. Nobody has time to do that kind of math, so just trust us on this one.
