Dollar stores often sell familiar brands such as Tylenol, and with their low prices, it looks like a great deal. There’s one catch, though. If you do the math, you will see that you would actually pay more. The containers in dollar stores usually contain fewer pills in them.
You can buy generic brand versions (they contain the same ingredients) at Costco, for instance. Two giant 500-pills-bottles will cost you less than $10. Even regular pharmacies sell brand medicine and generic brands for less.
