Spiral Jetty
If there’s one thing you should know about Mother Nature, it’s that she very rarely ever creates straight lines. So, that should be the first indication to know that this isn’t the result of billions of years of erosion. What you’re looking at is the Spiral Jetty, a construction that consists of millions of rocks and plants.
Sculptor Robert Smithson created this 1,500-foot-long coil off the shore of the Great Sale Lake. Thousands of people flock to the location to bear witness to the sculptor’s masterpiece. If you visit Spiral Jetty, make sure you don’t touch any of the rocks or vegetation.
