When it comes to accents, you can’t deny that the English accent is one of the better-sounding ones, and when it comes to cartoon logic, here’s something we didn’t realize until very recently. In Disney’s Tarzan, the protagonist is raised by a female gorilla and learns to speak “animal language” because he hasn’t interacted with other humans until Jane comes along.

The two hit it off instantly, and she started teaching him English. Now, here’s the confusing part—once Tarzan starts communicating in English, he has an American accent instead of an English one despite his teacher being English. How?
