Any sensible person would consider one’s health much more important than being at work and meeting deadlines. However, this sentiment failed to reach this particular boss. The employee here was truly honest about their allergic reaction and health issues.
The employer, on the other hand, didn’t think it was such a concerning matter. Not only did he not ask the employee about their health, but he also refused to compensate them for any sick leaves. Lacking empathy for your subordinates doesn’t make you a good manager or even a very good person.
