Everyone’s a Critic
I know Gene Kelly was a dancing legend, but was it necessary for him to make poor Debbie Reynolds cry? I get it; he had high standards, but come on. It’s not like she was a beginner or anything. Maybe he was just having a bad day when this happened. It seems a bit cruel to me!
Either way, it shows that even in the glamorous world of Old Hollywood, there were still some less-than-pleasant moments on set. I’m glad that we now have more positive and constructive ways of giving feedback. Let’s hope that future dance rehearsals are a little less tearful and a lot more fun.
