Family Bonding Activities for Fall Season

September 26, 2021 by Romy

It’s officially Fall and we can finally stop talking about the 90 degree weather. Yes! We get to sleep in a few extra minutes before waking up at 6:00 am without sweating throughout the day.

While you make your family’s favorite pumpkin pie, here are some activities for the entire family (parents and kids) to bond during this Fall season.

Collect Ingredients

Fall is all about apples, pumpkins, pineapples and oranges…and leaves! Make sure you get some of these ingredients to make your pie or even a nice refreshing drink. You can even go out to pick them up yourself with your family!

Take a Walk

Go for a walk around the block and look out for these Fall elements. You might even want to make this one of your weekly activities to keep everyone in shape!

Take Photos

You can either be creative with it or just take normal photos; either way, you will be spending time with your family and making memories that you will never forget.

Call Your Parents

It doesn’t matter how old you are, call your parents and tell them that you love them. You just might be surprised by the reaction on their faces! They’ll definitely feel wanted and appreciated.

Pumpkin Carving Contest

Take a look at the closest grocery store’s pumpkins and see who can carve the best, funniest and spookiest pumpkin. It doesn’t matter if you all pick the same type of pumpkins because everyone has different ways of seeing things so you might even learn a thing or two from your siblings.

Also, if you carve the pumpkin together, you’ll be building up memories that will last a lifetime.

Watch a Halloween Movie

Many stores are already selling Halloween movies so why not buy one and invite your family members to watch it with you? Whether you are choosing “The Nightmare Before Christmas” or “Hocus Pocus”, everyone is sure to enjoy this Fall activity.

You can also try to make some Halloween crafts while watching your movie!

Go Camping

If you want to get away from the city, grab your camping gear and go somewhere in nature where you can take a walk around the forest. If you are feeling daring, make sure to take a flashlight with you because there are tons of skeletons out there that will give you nightmares.

Go Shopping for New Clothes

Before you know it, Winter is going to be here so why not get out of your pajamas and do something fun with your family? Go to the mall and search for new clothes that will keep everyone warm because once it gets cold, no one wants to go outside.

There are so many ways you can enjoy family bonding this fall season, but we do hope that this list of ideas will inspire you to get outside and enjoy some quality time together before the super cold weather of the winter season arrives.
