19. Sticky Fingers
Who knew that a painting of Campbell’s Soup Cans or a Marilyn Diptych would give him the title “0father of Pop Art”. Andy Warhol was a commercial illustrator and managed to get exposure from several art galleries in the late 1950s.
He is credited with the phrase “fifteen minutes of fame’ for using it extensively. You might not know that he is the person who incorporated an actual working zipper into the cover design of the Rolling Stones album Sticky Fingers. He also designed Aretha Franklin’s 31 studio album cover. He was definitely not a 15 minutes of fame type of guy.
