She dedicated her life to charity and founded her missionary Roman Catholic religious congregation. She vowed to give “wholeheartedly free service to the poorest of the poor”. Everyone knew her as Saint Teresa of Calcutta also known as Mother Teresa.
Did you know that to commemorate the 100th anniversary of her birth the government of India issued a special 5 Ruppie coin which symbolizes the amount of money she had when she arrived in India for the first time. What an honor to have a coin made in your name. She was a special lady and made sure she was the mother of those who had the most misfortune.
