Wrath Is Weakness
There’s a lot we can learn about Disney’s Hercules. For instance, it’s not a historical movie. About 1% of the movie, if we’re being generous, is true to the lore of ancient gods. On that subject, why is he called Hercules when that’s the Romanized version of Heracles, while Zeus isn’t renamed Jupiter? It’s a real headscratcher, we tells ya.
What’s also a headscratcher is why Hades’ hair changes color whenever he shows his emotions. Normally, he has a cool blue hairdo, but when he becomes angry, his hair glows a bright red or orange. While red, yellow, and orange are usually attributed to strength, in Hades’ case, it’s actually a weakness. You can’t think straight without a cool head, after all.
