The two had a whirlwind romance and just six weeks after they start dating, Ross asks Emily to move in with him. This quickly escalates to a marriage proposal and a wedding in London.
Unfortunately, after his slip of the tongue during the vows, the wedding is ruined. Although they get married, Emily is NOT happy and only agrees to stay with Ross if he ends his friendship with Rachel. Unable to do so, the two eventually end up getting a divorce.
