Highly Unpopulated
The Hawaiian island of Molokai has a population of fewer than 8,000 residences. This may be due to the island’s history. Molokai is known for the most troubling times in Hawaii’s history. In 1866, King Kamehameha V exiled everyone in the Kingdom of Hawaii who contracted Hansen’s disease to the north shore of Molokai.
Due to the incredibly small population, Molokai doesn’t have any excursions that would interest tourists. The island has been established with very little structure. You wouldn’t even see a stop sign. However, like anywhere else in Hawaii, if you did visit Molokai, you would be greeted with a warm hug and an “Aloha”.
