Temperature Variations
Hawaii is known for its extremely warm climate that is present pretty much all year round. However, even though there are deserts there, the entire state is not a desert, nor is it the continent of Antarctica. So you’ll be astonished to learn that the highest and lowest temperatures recorded have both taken place in Hawaii.
Due to global warming, temperatures are much higher today and colder today. On April 27, 1931, when climate conditions were much healthier, the outdoor temperature in Pahala reached 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Many decades later, on May 17, 1979, the weather was surprisingly recorded as 12 degrees Fahrenheit near the Mauna Kea’s culmination.
