Sticking to a nonstick pan
Most people whip out the old-reliable Teflon pan whenever they’re in the kitchen. These things are great for cooking foods that tend to stick to the sides of a pan. However, a nonstick pan isn’t the best cooking tool for everything.
If you’re making pancakes or eggs, stick with a nonstick pan. However, you can achieve nonstick results by putting more fat into the pan (butter, oil, lard). When cooking meats, you should use a cast-iron or a stainless-steel skillet instead. These tools can add a crust to meats that nonstick can never achieve in a million years.
