Not chilling cookie dough before baking
If you get your cookie dough from the grocery store, don’t feel bad about it. After all, not everyone has the time or skills to whip up a batch of fresh, homemade cookies. However, if you make your chocolate chips from scratch, here’s a quick tip to enhance the flavor and texture beyond your wildest dreams.
As soon as you’ve incorporated all of the ingredients in the mixing bowl, place the entire thing in the fridge. Cover the bowl with some plastic wrap that touches the surface of the dough. Give it around an hour to chill before portioning the dough out and baking. You can thank us later (we stole this tip from a master pastry chef).
