Removing the crockpot’s lid
A crockpot is a tool used to slow-cook stews and other dishes. It comes with a pretty air-tight lid that should remain on top of the pot until the dish is ready to serve. However, just like peeking in an oven, you should never remove the crock pot’s lid prematurely.
Every time you remove the lid, you’re letting copious amounts of heat and steam out. Both of these things cook will slow-cook stews to perfection, and each time you take a sneak peek or give it a quick stir (DON’T DO THIS!), you’re setting the cooking time back by a lot. Set the timer and forget about it.
