Trying to salvage a failed dish
Now, we’ve talked about over-seasoning, burns, and how to salvage overly spicy dishes. However, if something is ruined beyond repair, you shouldn’t have to perform kitchen gymnastics to bring the dish back from the dead. Don’t be afraid to toss the stuff out and start from scratch.
That’s what a chef would tell you. However, realistically speaking, we might not have the means or the ingredients to cook steak from the beginning. In that case, make do with what you have. However, if you have more ingredients to whip up something else, we say go for it.
