Not tasting for seasoning
Most of the time, home cooks just place everything onto serving plates and move it to the dining table. If you know how to cook, this isn’t that big of a problem. However, seeing as how professional chefs always taste their food for seasoning, it’s probably a good idea that we follow suit.
Tasting for seasoning is a great way to ensure that your guests will enjoy the food. If you oversalted the food, you still have a chance to correct your mistake, either by adding more of a certain ingredient or remaking the dish entirely.
