Strange Apples
We wish we could have seen the look on this kid’s face when they opened their lunchbox and found a tangy onion instead of a Red Delicious. The only thing the two have in common is that they’re both round, so maybe there was no “accident,” and Dad is a terrible prankster. Notice the papery skin is missing.
All conspiracies aside, onions might be a better option than apples. While the sweet fruit is an excellent source of fiber, onions have nearly 60% less sugar, and they contain significantly more vitamin c, protein, calcium, and folate. Perhaps we should consider saying “an onion a day keeps the doctor away” instead.
