Elevators help us to get to the top-most floors without wasting time or energy. Unless, of course, you’re in an elevator with some snot-nosed kid who presses all the buttons “just because.” For most people, operating an elevator is second nature—just push the button that corresponds with the floor you want to get off, and you’re all done.
While using an elevator can be straightforward, installing one is a completely different challenge. How in the world can an elevator installer person remember to place the buttons at the correct orientation every time? At least the emergency call button was put in right.
