You’ve probably encountered something in your life that you couldn’t, for the life of you, identify. This certainly happens to us all the time whenever we visit pawn shops and thrift stores. However, instead of taking your curiosity with you to the grave, you can just upload an image of it and post it on social media. Here are 50+ funny cases where the internet came to the rescue in identifying unknown objects.

Scuttle
You’ve probably seen those fancy teacups from the olden days that had a mustache protector. Those are pretty cool, and we wish they would make a comeback. But when this person discovered this weird-looking object, they thought that perhaps the bottom “lip” might be there to protect their beard.

That didn’t turn out to be the case, unfortunately. This weird teacup-looking thing is called a scuttle, and it’s not used for drinking at all. Instead, you place a bit of shaving cream in the top cup, while the secondary cup is used to rinse your cream-applying brush clean. You’ll find modern versions of these things at barbershops.
