There’s a reason the 10-items-or-less line exists, and it’s not so Karens can do their shopping more quickly. It’s so that people who actually have fewer than ten items in their shopping baskets can pay for their stuff without waiting behind people who shop for the month ahead.
The cashier really should enforce the store’s policy about shoppers with ten items or less, but you can tell that this person doesn’t get paid enough to care. We totally get that. Any day you don’t have to deal with obnoxiously loud Karens who love the sound of their own voices is probably a good day for retail workers.
