Do You Even Lift, Bro?
Did you know that drywall isn’t lifting chalk? Lifting chalk is made of magnesium carbonate, whereas drywall is made of gypsum. They are two very different materials that serve very different purposes, even though they look and feel the same in their powdered forms. Does that mean they’re interchangeable? Heck to the no.
Which is why this gym needed to remind its patrons not to pull chunks of drywall out, crush it in their palms, and use it to get a better grip on their weights. We’re fairly certain that most gyms provide lifting chalk for free, or you’ll have to purchase your own. Just leave the drywall alone!
