My computer won’t turn on
It goes without saying, but computers need electricity to turn on. If you have a laptop, it can turn on without being plugged in, assuming that the battery isn’t on the verge of exploding. Back in the early 2000s, a Dell customer service officer received a phone call from an irate customer claiming that his computer wouldn’t turn on.
The CS guy led the man through all sorts of troubleshooting procedures to no avail. Finally, he asked the man whether the electricity was even on, to which he responded that his town was experiencing a power outage. And the sad part was that he received about five of those kinds of calls that day.
