You Overcooked Your Spatula
There is a myriad of factors that go into the crisping of french fries. First of all, you’re supposed to blanch them in oil, cool them down, then refry them at a higher temperature. The golden temperature for frying french fries, as well as most foods, is 350 degrees. Any lower, and your food will just absorb the oil.
Oh, and we feel that you should try and keep your plastic cookware out of the pan while deep-frying foods. The reasons are obvious, but apparently, not to this guy. Not only will it melt your plastic cookware, but the plastic will get all over your food. Nobody wants to eat plasticky french fries!
