When it comes to boosting motivation, looking to those around you might be beneficial. Running with a buddy or the spectators at a race may provide a boost of energy.
That person took it upon himself or herself to offer everyone around them a reason to continue by pointing out how far they’ve come in comparison to who is ahead of them. They may have a printout of tips for when an ambulance isn’t available, such as “Call 9-1-1.”
