48 Wild Designs We Can’t Explain, and Not for a Lack of Trying

Here’s another instance of images that don’t resemble the letters they’re supposed to replace. This time, they started off strong with a crossed fork and spoon to represent the letter X, which is nicely creative and also quite accurate, but things took a turn for the worse in the words to follow.

I’m sure I’m not the only one who has never thought to substitute a wine glass for the letter H, and there is a reason why: the letter H bears no similarity whatsoever to a glass of wine (no matter the type). And don’t even get me started on the plane symbol that’s supposed to replace the letter Y. Yet, somehow, they still got lucky, and their sign is still very legible.
