People Who Don’t Understand the Art of Negotiation

This quickly escalating conversation is quite the roller coaster! Things start off normal–a polite inquiry, a prompt and clear response. Then the buyer asks the seller if they’d be willing to lower the price of the phone. Still a pretty normal conversation…until the buyer gives the unreasonably low offer of just $30. For a smartphone.

The seller is understandably annoyed by the offer, which in total is less than ⅙ of their original asking price. But things get even worse when the buyer whips out a sob story and begins to beg for an extremely discounted phone. We give the seller props for their politeness, but the buyer’s response? All we have to say is yikes.
