At first glance, you might mistake this photo for an advertisement or a meticulously crafted image in Photoshop. However, the reality is more pragmatically achieved than one might assume. Ormond Gigli, a photojournalist, orchestrated this composition.
Gigli enlisted 43 women as models, adorned them in vibrant dresses, and meticulously arranged them in front of an entire New York City brownstone, creating the set for “Girls in the Windows,” one of his most renowned works.
