Use a Map to Create a Backsplash
If you’re missing traveling just like us, here’s a fun idea to create a unique backsplash for the kitchen using a map. All you need is a thin piece of plywood, shellac, spray adhesive, and maps! Cut the plywood according to the measurements of your kitchen walls so that the backsplash will fit properly.
Cut the maps however you’d like them to appear leaving an inch around the edges to fold over the backside of the panel. Use spray adhesive to stick the maps to the panel. Then seal it with two coats of shellac. Attach the panel to the wall and that’s it! You can go around the world right from your kitchen.
