Taking on a do-it-yourself project at home is A lot of fun. It’s less expensive than hiring someone to perform it for you, but it also gives you that unique sense of accomplishment. You feel that you’re sitting on a throne of nuts and bolts after you’re finished.
Then you come across one of the million snags and annoyances inherent to these projects. There should be a way to finish all of these tasks while avoiding the problems. It just so happens that there is, in fact, a solution for this. Did you know, for example, that…

Use glue to hold screws in place
Installing a screw is one of the most fundamental aspects of any DIY endeavor, yet it’s not always straightforward. The screw might slip and roll away, leaving you to crawl under the sofa to retrieve it. When the screw has to be inserted at an angle, things become considerably more difficult.

The answer to your problems is quite simple. Put rubber glue on the screwdriver’s tip, and any rogue screws will stay in place. Then, when you’re finished, just peel away any remaining glue, and there you have it. Take that, IKEA!
