Use a potato to unscrew a broken lightbulb
The old “how many X does it take to change a lightbulb” jokes are amusing, but they underestimate the aggravation of dealing with a lightbulb shattering in your hand as you attempt to unscrew it. Then how are you supposed to remove it from the socket?
The solution is simple: take a potato and cut it in half, then push the soft side of the potato into the smashed bulb. Make sure it’s wedged in there; then just turn it counterclockwise to extract the shattered glass.
