Flour
If you’re a prolific baker then you’ll probably use your flour up pretty quickly, and it won’t sit around for long. If you dabble in cupcakes every now and again, then you might have a bag or tub of flour sitting at the back of your pantry. Here’s why you shouldn’t keep it for too long.
Even if you’ve tried to keep your flour dry and in an airtight container, moisture can get in which causes mold and even insects to infest it over time. Cooking with this flour would cause digestive issues. Best to throw it out after at least 8 months, or if it smells stale.
