Pacifiers
Another hand-me-down that it’s best to avoid, sharing pacifiers with younger siblings is not a good idea at all. The problem is with the rubber, which breaks over time. This creates smaller pieces and the possibility that a baby could choke on them.
There is even an argument that you should change your baby’s pacifier every 2 months. So, maybe you shouldn’t put pacifiers on your gift registry list since they’ll begin to deteriorate as soon as you open the package. Although detergent for baby utensils can work somewhat, you can’t always rely on them to remove 100% of the bacteria or preserve the rubber.
