Towels
Not something that you would think about replacing often if at all, towels are such workhorses of our bathrooms that we don’t spend much time thinking about how long they last. Constantly getting wet, and rubbing dead skin cells off of our bodies, these items are vulnerable to bacteria build-up.
You should change them every 3 years, or wash them in very hot temperatures. The latter can degrade the material, and therefore stop them drying as effectively anyway. Also, keep your towels out of the bathroom if possible and hang them outdoors. If your towel is older than your smartphone, better to head to Bed, Bath and Beyond for a spree.
