The 10 Commandments, etched by God into stone tablets so that the Israelites could live in the right way, are probably the most famous set of rules in the Western World. They’re concise and to the point, covering the most important issues of the time.
This man’s wife, it would seem, isn’t quite as concise when it comes to writing out her rules. Although, if she only had to write them in pen rather than chisel them into the stone then she could afford to be slightly more verbose. I wonder if he has committed them all to memory, or forgets about half on a regular basis.
